February’s Guy’s Guide to Stanley Marketplace

February’s Guy’s Guide to Stanley Marketplace

Love is in the air, and we’re turning a wintery corner towards February, the month of love and Valentine’s Day. We know a good way to their heart is through beautiful flowers, decadent chocolate and delicious wine, so we plan on popping over to Poppy & Pine for a lovely arrangement before making a beeline to Miette et Chocolat to pick up a Snikkers box or two. Any visit to Miette requires the purchase of one of their chocolate chip cookies, which, in our opinion, is the greatest cookie ever! As you munch on your cookie, we recommend sliding across the hall to Mr. B’s Wine & Spirits to follow Billy Joel’s advice and select a bottle of red and a bottle of white. Around the corner, Trunk Nouveau has all your needs for a V-Day card covered, along with earrings, necklaces and bracelets designed by independent artisans for added sparkle.

In our homes, food is also a major part of Valentine’s Day, and we can’t recommend Traveling Mercies, the newest restaurant at Stanley, enough. The good people at Annette have created a thoughtful experience centered around quality libations and tasty bits, and there’s nothing like enjoying intimate foods in an intimate setting on Valentine’s Day. For those of us who prefer to cook up our own romantic feast, Rocky and the crew at Elita Specialty Market & Kitchen have been crushing it lately with their selections. From marinated meats to fresh vegetables, they have just what you need for a romantic rendevous at home. Amazing food needs the top tools, and Element Knife Company can transform your kitchen into a haven of romance as you cook up a heartfelt meal for your beloved. Elevate the experience with our precision-crafted knives, the perfect tools to showcase your culinary affection.

After all the shopping, eating and drinking, cozy up in our favorite pajamas from Dagsmejan at Aktiv. They make a great gift for your special someone, too.

Until next month,
Nate & Elan
