Easy, the Laced Hoodie for Men and Women by Amundsen is our favorite item and very heavily linked to the origin of Aktiv. While we were living in Oslo, we discovered Amundsen and fell in love with their attention to detail, design aesthetic and style. We hosted many friends and family while living in Norway and they all discovered and bought Amundsen. Seeing that, the idea of bringing the Nordic stylings to the United States was born and the rest is history.

The OG, Amundsen is definitely one of the most popular along with 66 North from Iceland. With Icelandair's direct flight from Denver to Keflavik many Coloradans have visited the land of Fire and Ice. While there, 66 is prominently displayed. In fact, when you change planes at the airport you basically walk through a 66 North shop. Yet, once you return to the United States, 66 North is nowhere to be found. In fact, Aktiv is the only retailer in the US to carry it. Another popular brand is Ivanhoe from Sweden which is focused on wool in all its wonderful forms.

Aktiv has a distinct worldly vibe and we feel that the Marketplace has the same. Whether it is empanadas, crepes or any of the other offerings from the 50+ small businesses, we feel right at home in this cultured, curated space.
