Last Day for Early Bird Tickets to Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel Exhibition
The Hangar at Stanley
Today's the last day to purchase $11 early bird tickets to this summer's extraordinary exhibition, Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, which will run in The Hangar at Stanley from July 4 to August 13 this summer.
One day only! Repertoire will highlight our favorite moments from the rest of the season, with pieces from the fall, winter, and spring series. Instrument petting zoo and instrument making included. A great way to spend a morning!
Designed for children six and under, Tiny Tots are 45-minute interactive concerts where kids and their adults get truly “inside the orchestra.” Attendees are seated on the floor and encircled by our 30+ piece orchestra. Tiny Tots was named in Denver Westword’s “Best of Denver“. The experience is one-of-a-kind!
We are bringing the Sistine Chapel to Stanley Marketplace!
Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition recreates the awe and wonder of one of mankind’s greatest artistic achievements, and gives viewers the chance to experience and enjoy Michelangelo's work up close and personal.
With special expertise and care, the 33 ceiling paintings from the Sistine Chapel have been reproduced in museum quality at near-original size, allowing visitors to fully engage and study the details of the artwork. The Last Judgment, Michelangelo’s towering altar wall fresco painted 25 years after the ceiling, is also included in the exhibition.
For art lovers and the devout, the exhibition offers a way to experience Michelangelo’s work in a contemporary and curated space, uncluttered, self-timed, and in depth. With detailed signage accompanying each fresco and an immersive audio guide available for rent, visitors can explore this innovative and unique interpretation of Michelangelo’s timeless masterpiece at their own pace with their sense of curiosity fully satiated.
Guests who have already visited the Sistine Chapel will find a new way of observing the art, while those who have never seen the originals will be intrigued and perhaps inspired to visit the Sistine Chapel in the future. With the recent fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, we are reminded of how precious our most revered works of art truly are, and how important it is to preserve and celebrate them.
Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel exhibition takes place in The Hangar at Stanley Marketplace, a food hall and urban market with 50+ local businesses, including 21 places to eat and drink and 10+ local boutiques. For more information about Stanley Marketplace, visit www.stanleymarketplace.com.
