Belly up to the bar and join Lora Cornell McKelvey for a fun, challenging but "work at your own level" barre class!
Barre is HARD and effective! Come do it at Logan House set to a motivating playlist! Barre workouts are designed to tax every muscle using a series of isometric holds, tiny one inch pulses and full range of motion. We will work the entire body with an emphasis on core, legs and booty. Bring your requests!
Space is limited, so stop by Logan House to purchase your ticket! Each $12 ticket includes the class and one glass of wine or draft beer. Sip on your drink during class, or wait until you've finished sweating to reward yourself! Yoga mats are required, barre socks are optional.
Have you ever celebrated Chinese New Year? A quarter of the world’s population observes this important festival, and you can too! Join Bethany in this playful, interactive workshop honoring the year of the pig.
First, you will explore your Chinese zodiac sign from the perspective of wellness. You will consider how your yoga practice can help you maintain balance in light of your unique personality and lifestyle tendencies. Then you will relish in a peaceful yin/vinyasa sequence designed for you to embody strengths symbolized by the pig: compassion, friendship, and sincerity with a clear mind and light heart.
This workshop is a perfect way to welcome new beginnings, apply Chinese mythology as a tool for self-inquiry, and invite greater awareness, happiness, and abundance into your life. Please bring a journal, and feel free to wear red as a symbol of good luck.
Bethany (RYT-500) is half Chinese and half Korean. Raised in NY, she studied cultural anthropology at Amherst College, and has traveled to over 30 countries. She loves holidays, traditions, and celebrating all the wonderful things in life.
