How We Got Here

History in Aurora: The Stanley Story

If you’ve ever wondered about the history of Stanley Marketplace, the Aurora History Museum is here to answer all your questions with their latest exhibit and accompanying tours.

The exhibit, titled “From Manufacturing to Marketplace: Innovation at Stanley Aviation,” shines a light on the people and innovations that made Stanley such a powerhouse in its heyday, and encouraged the developers of Stanley Marketplace to bring this historic building back to life. Admission is free, but the exhibit ends July 9th.

Guided tours of Stanley inspired by the exhibit are available every Tuesday through July 11, 2017. More info and tickets available here.

The Aurora History Museum offers a unique perspective on Aurora’s history and culture and is located at 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, Aurora, CO 80012. For more information, call 303.739.6660 or visit AuroraMuseum.org.
